Tobias Hart can no longer linger in Thiva. He must not only again act on behalf of the Goddess Queens, but on behalf of all Vulvar, and on behalf of the teeming, unsuspecting population of his home planet, Earth.

Signs point to the great wasteland of the Onawa, a desert on the Vulvarian continent Lago, as the site where the Veri have established a foothold on the planet. The Onawa is home to clannish, militant nomadic desert tribes and with an area of 11,300,000 square legas, Vulvar’s largest scorching desert. There Hart must go. There among the feuds, along the trails of slavers, beyond the forbidding salt mines, he must rendezvous with a powerful tribal chieftainess, a bandit leader, and a queen in Belo, the capital of Shetek, a great civilization occupying the Tiril River delta, on the west bank of the river. Hart must also contend with the Veri, a treacherous intelligent and technologically advanced species from a distant galaxy bent on conquering Vulvar and Earth because both planets possess the atmospheres and resources the Veri need to sustain their kind.

The stakes have never been higher for Tobias Hart. Failure is not an option. Unless he can successfully organize an alliance in Lago to fight and defeat the Veri, it won’t be only the males of Vulvar living in the slavery imposed by their female rulers. The Veri intend to enslave the entire populations of Vulvar and Earth. And unlike the Vulvarian females who value males as slaves, the Veri consider humanoid flesh a tasty delicacy.
